For the past nine months, Nótt has been on maternity leave. Prior to this, she worked as Marketing Manager for Marel Iceland from April 2012, with an emphasis on strengthening the image of Marel Iceland and aligning local marketing activities in Iceland. She also supported marketing within the product groups located in Garðabær, including Innova.
Before joining Marel, Nótt worked at Samskip, an international transportation company, from 2004. She led the Sales Department in Iceland for a few years and worked on various assignments as Representative of the Board of Management and Manager of the Accounting Department.
Nótt is Chairman of the board of Stjórnvísi, a non-profit organization, a board member of Íslenska ánægjuvogin, and one of the founders of the association Women in the Icelandic Fisheries.
In 2009, Nótt gained a M.Sc. degree in Marketing from the University of Strathclyde. She also holds two diploma degrees from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. She also holds an education in arts and an Iceland guide certificate.
Nótt and her spouse Sigurjón H. Ingólfsson live in Reykjavik and have two children; Ótta, 2, and Tími, 9 months. She enjoys spending time with her family, discovering new flavours in food, and fly fishing.
